Political Correctness

Quora collapsed my answer to this question because it wasn’t politically correct. “Why is political correctness seen as more of a tendency of the left?”

I have spent most of my life living in two different worlds. I was raised in a Evangelical/Charismatic Christian environment and family, but I spent most of my time in a liberal academic environment. Because of my Asperger’s Syndrome, I never really swallowed the blue pill of either, and so I neither really identified nor properly fit in to either world. The right-wing has it ‘morality’ of don’t drink and don’t smoke along with repressed sexuality, but it is the left wing that has imposed political correctness on society,
The left bans certain words and beliefs as being offensive. So perfectly normal words like ‘straight’ and ‘oriental’ are banned. And this attitude reaches the surreal with such concepts as ‘preferred gender pronouns’. The left finds all kinds of ways of being offended that are ridiculous to most people. The left claims to be open-minded, but that just means “believe as we do or you’re evil.” This is why they have no problem the mocking Christians and conservatives, and shutting down the free speech of those who do not follow the party line by labeling it as ‘hate speech’ while engaging in vile hate speech against those who disagree with them.
I knew to keep my mouth shut, but every day on campus, I experienced the left wingers saying things about the right that were not true and were often just a transference of the left’s own behavior. I never said anything, or I would have been labeled with a word that signified a political party from Germany of the 1930s, and then I would have lost my job.

In my experience, political correctness is totally an attribute of the left
